Day-0 Devlog


With only a few days until the MVM2023 game jam starts the team has come together very quickly to discuss past designs, skills and visual styles to progress the game in. Now, barely 12 hours until the game starts we're all hyped, motivated and inspired with an interesting concept to chase. This, I present to you is Bow.

At this point I won't reveal too much, only that it is a 2.5D Metroidvania / Platformer / Adventure game that pays homage to some of our favorites: Super Metroid, Blasphemous, Hollow Knight and Ori and the Blind Forest.

We've happily implemented test assets for using Spine and FMOD with Unity and we're happy with the tests we've created. We're looking forward to progressing the next few days.

Programming in the FMOD sound system for looping, one-shot and event based sounds.

Hi Sarah here! showing off some moodboards from day zero! A good starting point for every discussion is graphics, style and feel of the game.
